Decide what happens to your bags

Holland America’s Trieste port information states that there is no luggage storage at its pier. Check arrangements for your own sailing; this is not a statement about every terminal or service in Trieste.

Do not assume unrestricted storage, unattended vehicle access or space for every combination of eight passengers and bags. Keep passports, medication and valuables with you.

Choose a route to your airport

For Venice Marco Polo, a private vehicle avoids moving luggage between connections. Train and bus travel can also work: check the route from the terminal to the station, onward airport transport and current schedules. Venice Airport has a separate luggage-storage service; confirm its opening hours and conditions if using it.

One sightseeing stop can be enough

Ask about a walk in Trieste or time near Miramare. A Venice stop needs additional driving, walking and luggage planning. Send the flight number before booking a meal or attraction. We calculate the airport arrival plan first and shorten or omit sightseeing if delays reduce your time.
